May 1st MVSTA's Sunflower Relay & Iron Event
Come celebrate the 30th annual running of the Sunflower Relay and Iron Event! NEW this year the course is marathon length, 26.2 miles running from the town of Mazama to Twisp on beautiful trails through carpeted meadows of sunflowers. Run either as an individual or form a team of 2-7 members. Click here for info.
May 7th-9th Winthrop's '49er Days
Winthrop will be filled with living history when packers and pack trains, cowboys, cowgirls, and an entire wagon train all converge for three days of western events and fun.

Friday at noon: in downtown Winthrop, the arrival of the "Ride to the Rendezvous" wagon train.
* Friday 5-7pm:
Winthrop "Art Walk"
* Friday 7pm: Dollar Watch Cowboy Jamboree at the Barn.

Saturday at 11am: the Winthrop '49er Days Parade on main street.

May 29th MVSTA's Mazama 5K & 10K Fun Run
The Mazama 5k&10K is one of MVSTA's most popular events! Bring your family and friends and join us in the meadows of beautiful Mazama for a fun run followed by the "World Famous Mazama Pancake Breakfast." Sun, laughter, good friends and great food! It does not get any better than this!

July 16-18 Winthrop Rythmn & Blues Festival
Located at the Blues Ranch on the Methow River just outside of Winthrop, the Winthrop Blues Festival is a three-day event packed full of exciting national and regional entertainment for all ages. There is on site camping, food and craft vendors, portable showers, and a beer garden. The Blues Ranch is the perfect setting for one of Washington's greatest blues festivals.

August 28th North Cascades Oldtime Fiddler's Contest
The Annual North Cascades Oldtime Fiddlers Contest will be thrown at the Winthrop Park Bandshell. Championship fiddlers and top notch acoustic musicians from all over the Northwest and as far away as Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Canada have competed here. Starts at 9am. August 29th MVSTA's Cutthroat Classic
Possibly the most incredible views you could ever have on a trail run! The Cutthroat Classic is a 11.1 mile trail run through the North Cascades, following the Pacific Crest Trail and over Cutthroat Pass. This race is limited to 225 runners and sells out every year. Race registration includes transportation to the race start and back to Mazama from the finish, a race t-shirt, aid stations, awards and random prizes. Don't wait to register! Click here for info.
